FUN FACT: Grapefruits don't have the greatest emotional range.
I felt if I could get the audience to quickly buy into the (admittedly odd) premise, then the film would work. As is typical of my style, the actors play it straight, as if they weren't in a comedy at all. The more genuine the performances, the bigger the laughs. At least, that's the theory
